Just wanted to say I had above and beyond service from the Ruger CS department recently on a used rifle that I bought from a large sporting goods chain store. Technically Ruger had no responsibility to do what they did for me on this rifle. I didn't discover the problem with the rifle until I was cleaning and setting it up. I contacted the CS dept. and told them the issue, they took me at my word, and that's what I appreciate the most. I'm being a little vague, but I feel that's how I need to do this. I just wanted everyone to know and express my appreciation for the excellent service. I have several other Ruger firearms and have never had to do anything with the CS dept. Again, Thanks Ruger.

Your experiences are not unusual.
In fact Bill stopped offering a "guarantee" many years ago because it actually set a stricter liability responsibility. HOWEVER, they have always tried hard to take care of any issue even remotely related to a problem from their end. And many that were NOT their fault.

That kind of service is what Ruger is known for.

A friend bought a used Mini 14 and mounted a scope. The rifle could not be zeroed with all the windage taken up in his new Leupold scope. He brought it to me to check. It was obvious the barrel was screwed into the action at an angle. I suggested he call Ruger and tell them the truth about it being a used gun although it appeared brand new. The previous owner obviously dumped it as a lemon.
Ruger looked it over and sent my friend a NEW rifle at Zero cost.
Ruger= great service.
