ruger 97dc decocker issue

I have a ruger 97dc and the decocker seems a bit loose if you will. It is that like it lacks tension to be in the normal position. It decocks okay just that the decocker seems to be loose a bit up and down movement. What could be the problem? Okay rewording it correctly now it is that the decocker has upward and downward play. Is this normal?

I had two ... One was tight the other loose. I pulled and measured the parts and one lever was larger than the other. You could tried different levers. I assume only one side is loose? One side has constant spring tension on it andthe other is held in place by the extractor. They lock together with a small arm that fits in a slot.
