Ruger 1B

I was in an F4 tornado in 2008. I have been rebuilding my home and cleaning up on the farm since then. I now have some time to repair my guns.
I am looking for a forend for my Ruger 1B. I talked to Ruger,and they want me to send it to them. They would not give a price without seeing the gun.
I'm a retired carpenter and do not have the money for this.
Does anyone know where I could purchase a forend that is already checkered. I don't care if it has a finish on it, since I am refinishing the butt stock now.
Any help would be appreciated.

Mr. Johns there were a couple on Gunbroker but I dont see them now. He was asking $200 each.
