Words are inadequate to express my sorrow right now. I am so grateful to have met Hank, and to have been called friend by him.
I met him at the local gun store in Fredericksburg at Rugerfest 2.0, the second gathering. I overheard him talking to a clerk and figured out who he was. When I asked him why he was in Fredericksburg, he started his explanation and I interrupted him and stated, so you're gunslinger h. The expression on his and Susie's face was priceless.
He was a great man and will be missed terribly.

There is an empty place in my heart and sorrow in my mind that I never got to meet Hank in person. Talked with him on the telephone a time or two. May he rest in peace and his journey to the promised land be swift.

Words can't explain the grief I feel right now. I'm just glad that he considered me his friend, and he mine. I will miss him deeply. My prayers go out to Susie and all Hank's family.

This is sickening. I always felt Hank was indestructible, although I knew his health had taken a huge toll on him in recent years. Hank lived with pain every day for years. RIP to a fine man and one of my most unforgettable friends, and love to Susie. Cholo and I were talking earlier today about what a wonderful relationship Hank and Susie had. They each were the other's "true love" and were obviously best friends.

I've been at a loss all day. last night my heart felt very heavy thinking about Hank and Susie so I stayed up late praying for them. when I woke earlier today the first thing I did was read Paul's post. i'm really at a loss for words.
Hank you are a true friend and a Brother and you will be missed greatly. but I know you're on the other side smiling and waiting for all the friends and loved ones you left behind. we will meet again.

Hank, I don't think we ever figured out whose lead hit you in the cheek, we laughed and had a few good times. I will miss you, the talks at the shoots, the calls. I still have a voice mail left to me after I had called 3 months earlier. Quote Hank, I don't use this dang thing very often.
To Susie, prayers for you lovely lady, you had much to do with Hanks success and attitude I think. We will miss and remember Hank and his spirit.

This is very sad to hear. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but I do remember his posts,he always had a very easy going athmosphere about him. I'm sure he was a great friend as y'all say. Prayers for his family from Dallas....

Such a short time ago, Hank passed thru here while on his Northern tour. We had dinner with him, and he had everything to look forward to. Been watching this thread, anticipating his recovery, then this horrible news.

After many years of PM's & emails,,, I finally got to meet Hank & Susie last year. They were able to stop by here for a little while before pushing on. Hanks generosity, as well as his overall spirit was a big shining light when you were around.
I have worried over his health & his issues for a long time & now,,, I see the Good Lord has called him home to release him of his pain. The moral world has lost a good one,,, but the heavens have gained a treasure. RIP my friend.

I never met the man, but more than once he has messaged me or replied to a question I had posted, giving me good advice when I asked for help. He just seemed to be a very friendly guy that would have been a pleasure to have hung around with. God bless his family during this time.Wow, what a great outpouring of emotion for a good man. Is there anyway to get these thoughts to Susie? She cooked me some fine dinners and Hank supervised. Hank always took the credit but I think the muscle was Susie. LOL. This whole thing breaks my heart, I new Hank was ill but did not expect this. Hank was Coon Ass all the way. Loved his state, country and lifestyle. Anyway would love to be able to get this post to her and the relatives. Maybe it would let them know just how many folks he new and how many folks cared for him. Thanks.
