RIP Gunslinger Hank

Very sad news indeed ........

I never met Hank or Susie in person but I have spoke with him on the phone and did quite a few private deals together - I have his & he has my guns - nice memory for me personally

I just received a PM from Hank on Sept 27 - he spoke of getting past the surgeries and dealing on a few more .... it is not to be

Susie & family: I am sure you know, BUT Hank left a HUGE impact on this world and people in it -I for one
May the Lord God Almighty give you His Comfort, Peace & Help during this time

There are MANY who share in this loss - we are all saddened

Loved his state, country and lifestyle. Anyway would love to be able to get this post to her and the relatives. Maybe it would let them know just how many folks he new and how many folks cared for him. Thanks.

I will be going there tomorrow and I will be sure and tell her about this thread and let her know how many here cared for Hank.
 
Zane,,, I'm glad to know somebody from here is going to the services. And,,, I think Suzie knows Hank had a lot of friends here,,, but it'll be good for her to see the comments whenever she can.

Charlene and I will be praying for Suzy, we had the honor of meeting them when they stopped by for visit one evening on their way home from Florida. The world has lost a good man. The gun world truly lost one its finest ambassadors. Rest in Peace Hank.

I met Hank & Susie in Fredericksburg at a Ruger shoot, he made me and my wife feel very welcome and part of the Ruger family. Enjoyed following him on the form. Will keep Susie and family in our prayers. He will be missed by all.
 
I never met Hank but got to know him through this forum. I used to look for all his posts as I knew they would be interesting and honest. I exchanged a few Pm's with him and considered him a friend here and would have liked to have had the opportunity to visit with him in person. He was a good man and will be missed here. I will keep Susie and his family in my prayers in the days and weeks to come and think of some of his posts and remarks I remember him making here.

May God bless Susie and family through his Grace and give them Peace.
 
I have read all of your posts, and Hank would be humbled by the extent of your care and love. Hank had over 300 bits of arthritic bone pressing into his spinal cord, from the 2nd to the 7th vertebrae of his neck. He lived in total agony, no pain medicine would help. He was also losing the use of his left arm. He knew this surgery was risky but he freely chose to do it. He somehow contracted MERSA, the terrible staph infection. It got into his spine and his brain. Despite fast medical intervention, there was nothing to be done. Be comforted by the fact that he loved all of you on the forum, and most of all his life was his adventure and he lived it his way. You will always have a special place in my heart. Remember I live off of I-10 in Rayne and I fix a mean cup of coffee!! Thank you for all of your prayers. .... and yes I buried him with one of his shorties! Much love Susie.
 
Thanks for posting and it's good to know his agonizing pain has ceased. I hope to get over there to Cajun country some day.
 
I just saw your other post Susie,, and I just hope you realize how much so many of us did care about BOTH of you.
Just remember,,, we are all still here for you!

Im a little slow on this one, I knew him well, and I say that knowing that I never met the man in person, funny how that work's. we BS on the phone for hours some times, he own's most of all the short barrel 22 Ruger's I have ever owned....boy did he love them!....sad day here for me, I enjoyed that guy and his great story's..... Rest in Peace old Friend.....
 
Folks, I don't have the words. I've had a lot going on since the minute ( literally) sincei got back from Ty's place and haven't had time or energy to log on and now to see this ,imm floored.
Prayers go out to Miss Suizy and the rest of the family.

I don't get on the forum much anymore because of other commitments that take up most of my time.I just ran across this thread and I had to sit her completely stunned at the news of Hank's passing.
I met him a couple times when he and his son and a friend came up for a local gun show here in town. We had lunch and Hank wouldn't hear of someone else buying him lunch. He was carrying around an OM Super in 6.5 bbl I was sorely tempted to buy. Good conversation and funny stories were heard by all. I have been invited down to Rayne to visit and just never made the time. Now I know I should have and am saddened by the lost opportunity to share in his hospitality.
Hank, you will be missed, and remembered as one of the good ones for sure.
Susie, let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

I met Hank and his loving wife a few years ago in Breaux Bridge. We touched base every so often through this forum. He was a gentleman and I admired his courage in dealing with the pain he experienced daily. RIP, Hank.

My condolences, Susie.

Hi Suzy, I hope you have a great and merry Christmas, I do know it will be hard without Hank. I sure miss the phone calls, me to him, him to me. I think a lot about old friends and acquaintances this time of year, as we all do.

I sure hope y'all have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. I lost six aunts and uncles this year and it just makes me feel very old. WWII vets. Parents of cousins. It is just hard to deal with.

Have a great holiday and keep in touch on here with us, we love you to.

Wow, just can't stop. How do you know he or I or you wouldn't have died at 20 if not for the intervention of God? I can remember/recall many events where I really think I should have died. I am not going to argue religion here but Hank was a God fearing and worshipping man and your response is disrespectful to him. Why even post if you think you are worm dirt. Disrespect is the only reason. Post what ever you like but at least have respect. Maybe prayers kept him alive so he could say his last goodbyes, who knows. You sure as hell don't just like me. Bottom line, Hank believed in God and Jesus and you should respect that.

you can take that kind of talk somewhere else. as Karl said Hank believed in God and Jesus and you should respect that. when i talked with him both before and after the surgery he wanted prayers, not doctor recommendations.

more than once Hank told me God knew the exact second he would be born and the exact second he would die. hard as it is for those Hank left behind the fact is it was just his time.

if you don't believe that then fine, that's your right. but nobody here want's to hear you opinion on it so just keep it to yourself.

This type of disrespect is out of line and I sure will not deal nor discuss anything in the future with you as I know your lack of character
 
Hank and Jim and ??. I am horrible at remembering names.






I do know that is Bkat in the middle, the others I don't recall.
