Reloading the #1 405win.

Any one have a load that they are having success with ?
Tried several cast loads with limited success (2+" at 50 yds.)

My stainless #1 405 Win likes 54.0 of IMR 3031 under a 300 grain RN Hornady. Not max, but still goes around 2,250 fps.

Try the biggest dia.boolit that fits a fired case. With cast you have to fill the throat of the chamber. Fit is KING!!! Most cast boolit sold are under size. Would try .413-4 In my 458AccRel I use .458 jacketed and.461 cast Hope this helps. For more info go to Castboolit board. Clint
