I have been looking for a NEW Ruger Redhawk .44m 5.5" bbl, stainless steel for a long time. I can't find one. Anyone know Ruger's production schedule? I may have to start looking for a used Redhawk if I can't find a new one!

I had one of my gunshop-owning friends order me a brandy-new one.
I still have it; it is a superior revolver, both in DA trigger feel, and accuracy.
It was the BEST of my 5.5" 'collection' (although the 45 Colt version -also bought brand new- was nearly as 'good').

Welcome to the Forum. They're out there for certain.

Put a Want To Buy ad in the Classifieds here. Ask your local gun stores to order one, scan the auction sites like Auction Arms, Gunbroker, Guns America, etc.

And ..... why a new one? You're not going to find a used one that's worn out!

Without Ruger service, (they were GREAT) I could prove it :roll:

They're like hen's teeth on Gun Broker. There's a whole lot of 7-1/2" barrels out there, but no 5-1/2" versions.

You could always buy a 7-1/2" barrel and cut it down... 8)

I have done all the above and still can't find a new Redhawk 5.5" bbl. I have seen exactly 2 used ones (acceptable) in the last 6 months. I guess it is supply or the area I live in (Pacific Northwest).

I'm still on it!
