I should have noted when Ruger shut their SA line down. Does anybody remember when that happened... was it at the first of the year???

Is this part of the same problem that Ruger is having with their DA line in Newport? One of the other members of this forum had purchased a GP100 that turned out to be defective. When he returned it to Ruger for repair, they told him that it couldn't be repaired and they couldn't replace it either as some of their key equipment was broken so no new GP100s or SP101s were being produced at this time. They ended up cutting him a check for his revolver. Apparently the parts needed for the equipment are on backorder and no one knows when those parts will arrive. Many, many companies are having similar problems across different industries.

Glad I bought these well before they shut down….not a thing wrong with either one,
