Redhawk Grips

OK, I've looked everywhere I can think of and I cannot find a source for the original wood Redhawk grips. I have a chance to buy a 4" Redhawk in 45 Colt and I have a couple of ideas for minor mods and I want a set of wood grips to modify.

I am sure there is a simple answer/source for standard Redhawk grips. Would someone please enlighten me???

Best bet is to pursue the classifieds section of this forum. I just bought a set off a gentleman awhile back. You will see them from time to time. If you want them right now, give Ruger a call. Sure they will sell you a pair. I know they don't list them at their retail website, but as they still ship the longer barrel Redhawks with the wood grips, I am pretty sure they would have them, and a few extra for sale.

There are a minimum of 3 sets on eBay right now. The lowest is listed at start bid $15.00 with no bids so far.

You can also look at gun shows...I see them quite often and have bought a few sets too.

My friend just bought a set from Ruger themselves, lil more pricey than evilbay but he is real happy with em. Good luck on your search...
