Rare good day off today

I had a rare day off today with beautifull weather and a 2.5yo son in a good mood. So we went for a walk around the family farm. I grabbed a couple handguns out of the safe and asked him which one we should take. One was a scoped Smith 22A w/7" barrel, the other was a 4" GP100 in .327Fed. He picked the GP!! I reckon I'm doing something right.

We didn't see anything to shoot. Which was probably a good thing since I just took off a Reddot and put the irons back on and hadn't sighted them in yet. Luckily I remembered that and got her sighted back in while we were there. I had a scope on it before the reddot and shot a couple squirrels with a "light" load using Hornady's 90gr SWC. One of them was from 30yards!! The more I shoot this thing the more I like it!!

Took the day off and went to the range myself. Mid 60's, clear blue sky, light breeze. Doesn't get much better than that!

Unless maybe the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders had been there too....
