Had to sent my new GP100 686-6 357mag back to Ruger they deemed it un repairable, that was on Wednesday June 17,2026
Since there not running GP100”s at the moment , Ruger said machine down waiting on parts backordered,so they offered me a full refund took that option, today monday June 22 ,2026 I received my refund check now thats customer service.( Beretta dont screw this up)

If you still want the GP 100 find a used one - there are lots out there.

What was wrong with your revolver if we may ask ?

Agree on the 686-4 !

I don't have a clue why i typed in 686-6 ,old age or just plain stupidity I've about mastered the stupidity and i prove it often.but i did just get a 686-6 4” 357 sweet gun
I’m just messing with you. We all do that once in a while. I actually was going to going to post you should get a 686 as they're available everywhere. Less than a year ago I bought a new 686-6 4” myself and agree, it’s sweet. Enjoy

I don’t know what was wrong with his but the GP 100 I bought in 22LR the timing was off I need 30 car being Blackhawk I bought last year came with the wrong ejector rod. Both were fixed within a week of sending them back. But still a pain.

That kind of service still impresses the hell out of me after years of buying and running their guns.

Bad experience with Ruger. Have a 44mag I wanted to re-barrel. Now I know it's 50 or so years old and 40 or so years out of production, but I was a factory barrel, complete with sights and gas block. They said 2x they don't service it anymore and 2x referred me to Jack First.??? I have the barrel.

What is it with all these new members joining and just about the first thing (if not the very first thing) they do is complain about Ruger products or customer service?

Dang...welcome to the forum.....feeling a bit nerved? I just simply made an observation of some recent postings by new members. You must really need attention? You know me? I run to mods?....you get "band"?....maybe it was for spelling....

Either way....I'm on my second pour of bourbon tonight....cheers to you. Hope that complex of yours settles down.

Barrel was crooked, kept locking up,but when it shot it shot well.

what makes a new Ruger unrpairable?

Just a common sense WAG here, but thinking the barrel was torqued beyond TDC which also closed up the cylinder gap to the point where contact was made with the cylinder on occasion. To torque another barrel in place in the same frame might only serve to exacerbate the issue 🤷‍♂️

P.S. New members keep this forum alive. Like it or not. You might even learn something new.

As Mickey Rourke said in Barfly, (great movie), " Obviously a case of misdirected
animosity". Also starring Faye Dunaway.
