Question re hunting hogs.

I think so. I didn't see the pig after recovery. I did see the first 2 and they. Where shot just back of front leg. He is 8 years old and loves pig hunting more than deer hunting. His great grandpa, my father named him the "Hog Wild Kid" for a reason!

These are His first 2 of the season and a big boy that he wants very badly.

Sows will defend their pigs. But sows do not have the tusks that boars have.

Sows can bite, but I have never seen a catch dog cut by a sow

Learned that as a 6 year old. Screwing with the hogs and fell in the pen and before I could climb out a sow, with piglets, charged and actually bit the heel off my shoe as I was going back over the fence. Quickly made a believer out of a little kid, that never forgot that lesson to this day. They are smart and fast.
