Any of you puzzle solvers? Every morning with my coffee I have to do my three puzzles, Wordle, Connections and a crossword. My mother always did crosswords and got me hooked on them many years ago. If I pick up a newspaper such as USA Today the first thing I do are the puzzles. Most of them I do now are online.

I agree and also , main reason I still get a daily paper, cause all the rest in it, is ONLY good for wrapping up todays garbage............:unsure::(:cautious:
Funny you mention garbage. Locally we used to have a thriving commercial fishing industry. Over fishing, mostly by foreign trawlers, killed it. We also used to have a local paper, bought out by a larger one now both are dead. The local name for the paper was the "fish wrapper". It was actually a term of endearment. It was a true local paper with everything from police blotter to wedding, birth and death announcements.
I do Wordle, another one that shows a random picture of a place here in the US and you have to figure out which state and a third, it’s a country’s shape, in white on a black background. No reference to size and you have to name the country. It’s pretty hard. And I have to use a map to figure it out.
I do two crossword puzzles each week, the Sunday New York Times and Washington Post. These are "themed" and usually have some sort of clever twist to them, or a "key" that needs to be figgered out--very challenging! ;)

Over here in Chesapeake country we also spread it out on a table when eating crabs. Then when you’re done just roll up all the mess and put it all in the trash.
I love doing crossword puzzles and other puzzles that make you think. Can't do sudoku (wife loves it) to save my life, maybe I need to start doing it to force my brain to work. Also love the puzzles that have a two or 3d things that you have to be able to visualize to solve, gets both halves of the brain working.

My ex-fiancee used to love working on TV Guide X-word puzzles, which I was very good at, so I bought her a few books with the X-words in them. She tried, but usually ended up asking me what the answer was to this or that. Back in the early '60's I had to take a bus ride back and forth to work and my base, so usually did the X-words in the S.F. Chronicle or Examiner. She got me hooked on Jeopardy for awhile, but during the late '50's, I used to watch College Bowl after a college football game on Saturdays. Their questions were very difficult and I was lucky to answer one question per show. One time, they had questions all on the Civil War and it just so happened we were studying the "War between the States" and I answered three questions. I was so proud of myself. :ROFLMAO:
Mahjong for me and jigsaw puzzles as well.
I also like puzzles, especially crosswords in the winter.

I'm hooked o SOLITAIRE from "MOBILITYWARE"; been doing it for years ever since my spouse got me hooked.
They have a Daily Challenge that gets you a crown with a gem on the month's calendar if you do it on that day.
I think my game total now is 45,060 games played and won total.

Sudoku is my daily "entertainment". They get more difficult as the week progresses, then on Sunday they are five connected squares. Coach explained what is done with newspaper here in the Blue crab/Old Bay seasoning area.

I used to do crosswords but got tired of them.
My wife loves jigsaw puzzles and has one going all the time.The one she is doing now is 3000 piece and has a 6000 piece waiting in the wings .She doesn't like any less that 1000 pcs,and I don't like anything more than 300 ppcs.

I do the wordle each day.
One year I committed to doing sudko every day for the entire year. It got to the point I had a system, applying it took time but it solved it every time. It became drudgery.
Back in the day I had a collection of those bar puzzles. Made out of twisted metal and you'd have to separate it into two. Or move a ball or a ring to a different spot.
Sporcle has a states quiz, they give you the names in random order you touch the map.
I did that one until I knew them again. Still do it monthly. I wish I had it in grade school.
