Folks I know you must be tired of reading my requests for prayers regarding my boy Justin; but it appears he may have precancerous tumors in his lower abdomen. He underwent surgery earlier this year and did ok. We were told when he was 6 months old that he wouldn't make a year, and here he celebrated his 11th birthday,
and that he would have a drastically shortened life span..... We have a appointment with specialist in DFW soon to determine what is causing the dark spots on the X-rays. I've heard it say that Gd doesn't give you more than you can handle........ But I don't know how much more Justin can take,( along with his mom).. If ever he needed prayers it is now......thank you for helping.

Justin has remained in my prayers and will continue to do so. I know from your earlier posts that the burden must be great and I remember that and pray for you and your wife always too. I'm sure that your family is on the minds of many here and there are prayers not only from Kentucky but all across the country for you folks. We are sort of like a family here, and I am humbled that you share your thoughts with us. We stand with you across the miles my friend.

Joe, the prayers are still coming from SoCal for your little guy AND the whole family. And please don't put too much stock in the doctors' estimates of how long he'll be with us. A late friend's son was born with serious problems, which the docs told her few kids survive more than 3 or 4 years. We lost him at age 43! So I like to think miracles still happen...

I don't know how to explain the "God won't give you more than you can handle" thing, but I do have faith that He will see Justin, you, and your wife through all of this. We will pray for Justin and all of you.

My heart goes out for Justin and you and your wife. There is nothing worse than worrying about a child's possible illness other than dealing withe the illness if it happens. Never give up the fight. Many years ago, my daughter had a type of thyroid cancer that has a 25% survival rate. She turned 40 in May. My wife had four bouts with breast cancer ending in mastectomies and reconstructive surgery. In 1995 they told me she was unlikely to live for 5 more years. She is still alive and kicking (mostly my butt). I pray that Justin will win his battle. I trust you and your wife will support him through that fight, if it comes to be one. Prayer is positive energy, and I will direct mint to Justin. I pray he will be healthy.
