My wife is having her right hip replaced on Wednesday. She has struggled for some time. Has back issues with arthritis for some time, but she hasn't wanted to do the back surgery so is having epidurals ever so often for relief. Because of the back pain, she didn't realize her hip was an issue for some time. Now the ball joint has collapsed and the time has come.

I humbly ask for prayers for her, for relief from the pain and better mobility.

Done. Prayers for skillful doctors, complete healing and the strength to complete physical therapy for a good outcome.

Hip replacement is not as intrusive as knee replacement.
I had a total hip replacement in October.
I put it off for two years. That was a mistake. I was miserable at work.
My hip bone was dead and wasn't getting any blood to it.
When they replaced it , they also found a crack in it.
The first two weeks were tough , but it got a little better every day since then.
I went been back to work ( in construction ) full time 8 weeks after surgery.
She will be happy she did it , and I am sure she will be fine.
I will still say a prayer for her.

Hopefully it will go as well as it did for my wife. She had her hip replaced at 76, and two weeks after surgery she was back to her normal activities, without as much as a cane. Wishing your wife well.
