My youngest son's (Jerry) wife, Kate, is a breast cancer survivor. She already had a mastectomy, and has been cancer-free since then. Right up until last week, when a lymph node became swollen. The biopsy revealed that it is cancerous. Now, the wait begins to determine if the disease has metastasized throughout the remainder of her body. If it has, well, things will go from just bad to downright awful in a heartbeat. They have an 11-year old daughter named Cecilia. I have a bad feeling about the potential outcome of this deal, but I'll try to be positive.

Hopes, prayers, positive waves, etc., are all happily accepted.

One of my DIL's just passed away this past November from cancer. She fought (3) times against breast cancer,, (over a 6 year period,) and we all thought she was on the upswing. Suddenly,, her liver enlarged, and got a mass on it. She passed within a week of finding that.

Cancer is the ugliest,, dirtiest, worst word I can hear.

You, your family, and especially your DIL have my heartfelt prayers.

Sir, I'm so sorry to see this. I will be fervently praying for her and all of your family.
