Posting name usage etiquette

I have not seen this posted here or elsewhere in other forums for that matter.

Many users do not use a signature file, possibly because they want to stay more anonymous? But given that some who do not sign their real name are known by their their given name is it just always better to use their screen name and is using their given name disliked?

I think I understand the question. Many here know each other personally and at times will, and do, use their actual name. I have not heard of anyone complaining either way.

Strangely in real life when I tell people my name they almost always add a "y" to it.

But to answer your question I usually use the user name unless they sign their posts with their real name. Who could tell if it even is their real name anyway?

While I do know your name, I turned off the signature lines.

Most of the time I browse the rugerforum on the phone. Adding the signature lines makes it too much, and without them it’s a lot cleaner.

When I first joined her I made the choice to not hide who I am or even where I live. I've not very good at keeping secrets anyway...
User name for me is actually my first and main email address... just add: @bellsouth.net.
anybody and look back at my post and figure out what I do and even find where I live via the internet.

Well, during those gun jam clearing sessions in the gun tunnel we just dumped all that 20MM into a truck bed.....many with the projectile knocked out and powder still in the case...some may or may not have been taken back to the Ordie Shack and used as shot glasses.....Wild Turkey and a little powder never hurt nobody.......except maybe in the long run...it has been about 35 years......

Edited to fix the spelling errors due from typing during a bumpy ride in a security vehicle.....or was it the powder/Wild Turkey mix coming back to haunt me?

Don't rightly know.....but at my first wedding the Groomsmen were all Ordies and we all raised one filled with bourbon for a toast......or two, or three, or ten......but you gave me an idea to bring that idea back to life....be perfect if I'm still kicking for my Seabee Son's wedding if he ever takes a wife......

Meanwhile, I now have to fill one and measure it.....weekend project......stand by

No idea, but a TOW tube holds a LOT of various alcoholic liquids.

OK research completed. Using 3 cases from my collection of my largest cases, left to right, WWII 20mm MK II - 1.25 oz, 20mm M103 - 1.5 oz, and a FA 41 .50 BMG at .75oz.
All these measurements were taken using my wife's finest measuring devices and my highly calibrated MK1 MOD 0 eyeball.

Well when I get a chance I will dig out a actual 20 x 102MM case birthed from an actual F14/M61A1 circa 1985ish........I do recall a shot glass full filling the case to the top.....a little powder and tracer mixed with bourbon is good for the soul....may regain my youth.....;)
