I"m looking to get some of these gunfighter grips from eaglegrips.com for my super blackhawk. I would really like to see these grips preferably from the back to see how much thinner they are then stock grips, also I have a blued blackhawk and would like to see how other color grips look on a dark pistol.

So far I've decided on the rosewoods.

thanks!

These are gunfighter grips from Eagle Grips, but the guns aren't blue. They are on a pair of .44 magnum Vaqueros. I like 'em. Hope these pics help.

Don't mean to OT, but it struck me - looks like New Vaquero hammers transplanted to your Vaqueros?

Yup. I've got a couple blue ones on Blackhawks too. I like 'em. I wish I could get some for my Old Models. Here's a 50th Anniversary .44 magnum Flat Top with one. Sorry they're not gunfighter grips bamboogtp

I didn't think gunfighter style grips were thinner than the stock grips on NMBH's. As I understand the design, they have a thicker than standard up top to minimize the gun rolling up in your hand, but that the lower portion was about "normal" in thickness. Am I right?

And, does the thinner, if that's what it is, lower portion allow the middle finger to go too far around the grip, maximizing the trigger guard knuckle rap that comes with heavy recoil?

And lastly, does that increased thickness at the top allow the trigger finger to push on the grip during firing...for me this accentuates (allowing the trigger finger to touch) latter group movement.

Cary Chapman, et al. ..if you're reading this...whatcha think?

well we will see.
I placed the order last night and I read somewhere that they were thinner. I will post pics when they come in

Mine are much thinner. I like them for shooting gunfighter style (a gun in each hand) and for drawing quickly for self defense (in the woods.) For target shooting or heavy loads I prefer the thicker factory grips.

The Bearpaw "EIG" grips I have are a touch thinner at the bottom than the factory grips, no bevel, and noticeably thicker at the top (as tek's pictures show). Typical gunfighter grips are usually much thinner at the bottom than factory grips. They have no flare.

I like 'em. Went to a SBH grip frame and factory SBH grips on my 45 Blackhawk, otherwise they'd still be on there.

so I got my grip today and wow am I satisfied, ended up getting the eagle grips. and the difference is quite significant IMO. I would say that they are roughly half the size of stock

So where are the pics?

Blackeagle, did you have to fit the grips you have? They look good. Also did you have to change hammers with the New Vaquero hammer change? I like those hammers, but can only find them with triggers too.

Yeah, let's see some pics bamboogtp.
Bountyhunter, the grips and hammers work fine with no fitting, and I did not replace the triggers.
