Aftermarket Grips

Hello everyone,
Can anyone tell me where I can get grips for a Super Blackhawk Hunter Bisley model with round trigger guard. I tried Altamont, Pachmyer and Hogue. All only for square trigger guards...any ideas....Blessings my Brothers and Sisters!

Those are "Bisley" grips. The square vs rounded trigger guard discussion is not a factor.
It says so in your title.
Just buy a set of Bisley grips.

Yup only one Bisley grip.
How well the grips fit the frame , well that's a different story.

Yes sir...that's the issue..the Bisley grips are configured a little differently, the round trigger guard is the problem and not the square...that is the factor for discussion. I contacted thementioned manufactures and the issue is square vs round for this model....I was hoping that someone has had some experience with finding the right configuration...modification might have to be made...hoping I wouldn't have too...Blessings My Brother!

There is no round vs square discussion on Bisley grips. Your gun is a Bisley frame, buy Bisley grips. There is no square trigger guard Bisley.

good information above, only "Bisley" grips, but as noted the overall fit can be a crap shoot, sadly see this all too often, especially with the stainless models...:unsure::rolleyes:

I think you are confusing the fact that some Bisley grips have a poorer fit than OTHER Bisley grips with the "round vs square" thoughts.
It's a known fact that sometimes Bisley grips just don't always mate up very well to the grip frame.
It's due to the fact that grip makers have (1) type of frame to use as a guide,, and the people polishing the grip frames often finish them out a bit differently.

Just buy a set of Bisley grips & hope they fit as you will prefer.

OR,,, you can have a set made for your gun. A reasonably priced set can be had from "Chig's Grips."
Or you can get fancy & ship your grip frame to a serious custom grip maker & get an enviable set of beautiful set made for your gun.

Another vote for Chig’s grips, if you send him your grip frame he can custom make a set that fits perfectly.

I agree. I have their imitation pearl grips on my Bisley and the thickness helps when shooting the heavy loads.

I made and sold Ruger grips for over ten years. I would not make a set of Bisley grips unless the customer sent me his grip frame for fitting. That way the customer was always happy with the fit. There is also a difference in the fit of panels on a stainless frame or blued frame.

I should add here that I did not charge the customers anything for fitting to their grip frames. I would much rather do it that way.

I think the OP is getting confused by Ruger's terminology of "Super Blackhawk Hunter" and
not realizing that a Bisley is a Bisley is a Bisley........

Hogue does make them for the round trigger guard... but then you are looking for the Bisley...

I think your right sir....I'm reading into it it seems....my mistake. I have read other forums where the issue is proper fitment, some make a slight modification to the grips, some fit better, some worse and that is the issue with square or round. As someone else mentioned the fitment is a crap shoot due to frame configuration etc. Blessing to all my brothers for the given advice's!
