I have mellowed over many years. My Wife would vacuum them up, while I catch them and let them go outside.

It is a very little jumping spider. You could cover him easily with a dime. I just got really close and took it's photo.

There was a really tiny black one in my dogs food bowl yesterday. He was smaller than a pencil eraser. They're about the only spiders i dont kill on sight. Years ago i was running a wastewater treatment plant and i had one living in the window of the lab for quite some time. I enjoyed watching him (or her) stalk and kill flies and other small insects. We can coexist as long as I don't find one on me.

In my work I get spider bit a lot... partially because I have never been diligent about using any kind of protection.
I try to leave them alone if they are not in a 'problem' place... same with wasp (not yellow jackets).
Now roaches and fire ants are open game to me. Just fire ants not native ones.

They can live in my garage as long as I can't see them. But if I see them it's SPRAY BRAKE CLEAN TIME. Kills them like right now.
