ken 66, I have been using the #69 & #71 Brownell's spring kits ever since they have marketed them! I use them for many firearm requirements. I have found over the years that the specific spring kits for individual guns do not always give you the "result" your looking for. For example, you can often times use a lighter weight spring (smaller coil wire) and make it a little longer than the factory spring and give yourself better "functioning" in specific cases like hammer or recoil springs. There is "enough" stock so if you don't get it at the exact length/strength you want, you have stock left over to try again. They are not the cure-all for every case or need but they have helped me as a gunsmith on hundreds of occasions! I also carry the other kits: # 15, 149, 150 and 152..................Dick :wink:
