P***y Whipped

Anyone who says, "Happy wife, happy life."

I've known quite a few guys who gave up things when they got married because their wives didn't like them. Guns, golfing, cigars, etc.

The same thing happens to women. My mother was an avid bowler when she married my dad. She had her own ball and shoes. She never bowled again.

I use to have a friend who had his wife control all the money.
He's on his third wife.

I walked away from such a relationship fairly early in adulthood, and my experience with that particular former GF - with a side order of dishonesty, instability and emotional manipulation - is largely why I remained a bachelor.

It didn't help that for some reason I always attracted the moody and crazy chicks. After a while you quit looking.

I really wish I'd been able to present my parents with a couple of grandkids to spoil . . . but under the circumstances it's far more likely I'd have had nothing more than a monthly child support check to show for my efforts.

My wife and I know one.
Friend of ours did not get married until he was in his forties.
Dated a lady who set her hook in him.
He did EVERYTHING she wanted.
We all tried to warn him. No luck.
It took her two years to bankrupt him. He lost his house then eventually his job.
He moved out if town shortly after.
We have not heard from him in years.
Horrible to see a nice sweet man destroyed.
We knew somebody like that we told him have some fun that’s it no he marry her lost everything house that his parents have him everything too bad we warn him

In my wife's family there are several who say that. Mostly domineering miserable excuses for the female species. They nag, scream and whine their way to getting what they want.
Her oldest brother is married to the prime example of this behavior. She belittles him in public and addresses him as John Joseph just like a 2nd grader getting scolded for talking out of turn.
My wife's sister is married to a guy with a PhD in political science and no job in the field. He is underemployed for the education that he has and she is constantly nagging him about everything in the world.
My wife talked down to me once in public and I told her that it was going to be the first and last time. I told her that I don't talk to her in that manner and I will not be talked to that way. I was scheduled for a colonoscopy and she informs me when we are there that she also ordered an endoscopy because I was going to be out for the other procedure. She was adamant that I have the endoscopy and I told her... I'M YOUR HUSBAND, NOT YOUR PATIENT!!!! I had the office staff remake the paperwork and told them if I was given the endoscopy that they would have to find a new location because I would redecorate the office with anything I could lay my hands on.
I left with only the colonoscopy done and they were more than happy to see me leave...

My nephew for one. We hunted and fished all the time. He was a Sheriff's deputy and as soon as he got married his wife made him get rid of all of his guns and take a job as a non-armed security officer. If it was me that would have been one short marriage.

And I work with a guy that is older than me, his wife is 8 years younger and won't let him retire till she can retire.

I once had a good friend. He and I were about ss close as brothers. He got tangled up with a horse faced Rosie O'Donnell and married her. First this to go were his guns. Then she did not approve of his friends, although he and I still got together every once in a while. I lost contact when I left California for good and it was quite a few years before I went back to San Francisco so my youngest daughter could meet her grandfather for the first time. While showing her some of the sights of the city, I decided to stop by and see my good friend. I swear he came close to crying when he saw me and the harriden he married just scowled. We talked for a while and it was just heart breaking to see just how badly she dominated the poor guy. When we left, as we were going down the steps I heard her yell that she does not want that person in her house ever. I blew my stack. I think I scared my daughter a little too because I went back and gave hid wife one of the nastiest ass chewing I've ever giver anyone. You see, I'd saved his bacon twice over the years. Once from drowning in the Russian River and the other when he was arrested on a phony rape charge. She was there for the first and knew all about the second incident. He stood to one side and I could see a smile slowly forming. If he was smart he would have dumped her by then but AFAIK they're still together, more's the pity.

I despise manipulative people regardless of gender. Manipulation in marriages and other relationships is quite common.
No one told us about the warning signs.
No one told us how to spot those to avoid.
If someone verbally abuses you, they are not your friend. If someone constantly tries to make you feel guilty, they are not your friend. If someone gives you the silent treatment, they know the truth is not on their side because they don't want to reason with you.

A man-woman relationship can be like a corporation with two CEO's. In rare cases they work out OK. In most cases one is dominant and the other is submissive. Hopefully the dominant one is the more intelligent of the two. If the dominant one is only dominant because he/she is inclined to be that way....or because she has "one of these" and "can get one of those" any time she wants, life can become miserable.

There is a difference between loving someone and trying to please them and letting them run your life. In fact, if they try to run your life, they don't love you they just want a paycheck and a possible baby maker. Basically, I can't get everything I want in my current position, so I snare this guy and use him.

Many even unbelievers can attest to the bible's warning:
Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.
Yep, And Proverbs 21:19 — 'Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife."

Wish I read that 50 yrs ago.

By your definitions I guess I'm whipped.
I include my wife in all the big expenses I shell out for. On the other, I hunt waterfowl which is not cheap at all. Between rent for our trailer, cost of our blind, ammunition (lots), eating out when I'm up there, and fuel for the 300 mile round trip, it adds up.
We have a boat that I fish out of. I've got an ATV that I use for waterfowling and goofing around on our vacation home.
On the other hand, she doesn't binge shop, or spend TOO much money on luxury stuff at all.
We'll celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary in February 2027.... unless she comes to her senses before then. 😄 🤣 😂

Got married...quit drinking quit chasing women ...Sold 65 guns...bought a house...she was happy. Told her I was going to buy guns to replace 'em...she said ok. I guided hunters and fishermen...money I earned went to living expenses. Tips were mine...I bought guns. Bought a very expensive gun with tip money...not a word from her. A fellow found out I had it and offered me a very large amount. A year or so before we went to a farm auction . Talked to my banker and...bought the farm...we had just paid off the mortgage where we lived.. Anyway....Said paid 5 for the gun...and he offered me 28...so we could put 23 on the mortgage. She honestly said well that would be nice...2300 on the mortgage...I said no hon...23000 on the mortgage. Fastest subtraction you ever saw. She said where did you get 5000 dollars? Tips I said and held my tongue. She said up to you, do what you want...but it would be great...I put 25000 on the mortgage...she made me retire at 47. Said she'd keep working and take care of me in the manner I deserved because I was almost worth it 55 yrs now....but I let her quit working early

NEVER had a problem..... either I'm very lucky or I have good interpersonal skills... (?)

Don't ask permission, just by it. If I had to ask permission, the safe would be empty. BTW, I have nearly 60 of them. And don't question what she buys.
