My buddy has an early P-95 sereral # 315-92xxx DA/SA Polyimer frame gun with a buled slide .My question is this , is the slide made of stainless steel and just buled or is it carbon steel ? The slide shows some holster ware on the edges but is in pretty good shape ,no dings or rust .It has three 15 rd mads 1 buled and 2 stainless ,and gobbles up anything you feed it .What would be a fair price for this gun ? Any help would be greatly apperacited .

Lou, you can buy a brand new one for less than $350, so $ 175 for a used one in good shape, $200 for very good shape (99%).

Thanks cheezewhiz ,
He droped it off for me to do a deatailed cleaning on it and even though I'm not a fan of DA/SA autos ,I find myself without a fullsized 9 MM at the moment and think I may be able to talk him into a trade of some sort .I've shot this gun quite a bit and it's accruate and relibale and it just sits in the case in his closet .He's a fellow Deputy and has not qualified with this gun so he can't carry it off duty ,besides he likes his duty gun a gen 3 Glock G-22 and carries it all the time and his wife hates it she has a Bulagirain Markerov[spelling] that she shoots much better .I just happen to have a Lincion N-100 110 volt welder that needs a silonoyid and has a gas kit so it can run fluxcore or mig wire and I don't use it anymore .
It's just taking up space in my garaege so he just might bite .I just want to make him a fair offer .

You don't mention if it is a DC only unit or not. To me that adds to the price but I like the DC's.

I would agree though with what has been said on price knowing just what you described.

Take care a post pics.

Heres asome pics of her after I gave her a good cleaning & detialing .I added a little scateboard tape so you can get a better grip on her .The frame is really silck and moves about in your hand without it .He has sold this gun 3 differnt times but has bought it back ,once to me ,but I needed the money so I sold it back to him .He turned around and traded it to a co-worker for a Glock G-19 that only had 50 rounds through it and then he needed money so I bought the Glock from him for $300.00 .He bought the P-95 back from the guy for $200.00 cause the guy needed money . See a theam here? Now after cleaning her up and handling her again I want her back .I hope he'll trade me for my welder .

this thread makes me wish I hadnt bought a new P95, Ive got the one with the stainless slide, I put a hogue slip on around the grip, looks great, shoots great, but too big to carry anywhere, gonna swap it for a smaller gun and even though its new will have to give some boot, should of bought a glock :(

Wrong direction Stevolene.... keep the 95 and acquire something else a little smaller like the two newer smaller 9s from Ruger.

I promise you will regret passing on that stainless 95.
Besides that, you can carry a P95 often, at least 6 months out of the year.

A full sized pistol can be carried if you are willing to dress around the gun. A good quality belt & holster helps a lot too. If you want something smaller you might want to take a look at the Glock 26 or SR9c. There are tons of options out there. I agree with blume keep the P95 & save your pennies for the next one. There is no such thing as too many guns.

I'd recommend keeping the p95 too stevolene. I sold my 2 year old stainless p95 for $300, but now I wish I would have kept it. If you like TDA with a decocker you defenetly don't want to sell your p95.

Well I talked to my buddy today about getting the P-95 back ,but no dice .Can't say I blame him ,maybe I shouldn't have cleaned it up so good he likes it more now than ever LOL.
