P-345 problem after sights installed

I brought my 345 to gunsmith today and him install night sights. I only brought him the slide as he requested. When I got home, the gun would not fire. Hammer comes back half way and stops. The safety will NOT fully dis-engage. The gunsmith is gone for the rest of the day, but I'm curious to ask you all what happened??

If you only took him the slide,, and you are having function issues,, it may be that he overclamped the slide in a vise to do the work.
