I traded into an OM Vaquero in .357. Took it to the range today for the first time. My .357 loads that are admittedly a bit warm were very difficult to extract after fired. The fired cases come out without a struggle in my 686 but it is a different story in this Vaquero. Some of the cases even seemed a bit bulged as though a couple of the chambers are oversized. .38 specials were not a problem extracting fired cases.

Anyone experience this issue in their .357 Vaquero?

The chambers may be a little generous than your 686. Mic them and compare.

But are the Vaq chamber walls a bit course with machining marks evident? That's usually the reason for difficult extraction.

If so, a simple polish with a wood dowel in a power drill wrapped with 600 grit paper will do the trick. You can even go up to 1000 grit for a nice polish.
