Nm and old modelBlackhawk barrel interchangeability?

What Robb said. /\

To expound a little…

This is a NM Barrel that I have cut down to 3.6”,,, the reason I went with a NM barrel is I didn’t want the OM “SRM” cut in the middle, The OM has deep stamping. Whereas the NM is much lighter and took very little effort to just remove it all.

The only real problem with a .41 Special IN MY OPINION is the readily availability of brass is not there. Special orders, or cutting good .41 Mag brass are the options.
I'm a .41 Mag fan myself,, but I can load it however I need it to be. Besides,, if I want to step down in power & still have a bigger bullet,, I have a .44 Spl, & my .45 acp cylinder in other Blackhawks.

But the OP has asked about the thread differences or the lack of them on OM & NM frames & barrels. He can easily use a NM bbl as noted above.

i don't know about that.......
41 Special brass has been available from Starline for a decade or more, and both Midway and Grafs currently show it in stock for .32 a piece.

To me,, that's "special order",, as you just don't find it laying on the range or in the odd brass lots in gun or pawn shops. And it's not a "Factory" type caliber.
