Yes, it should be.

I agree. And the 22 LR cyl would also be the original style with circle groove cut for the firing pin on the cyl face.

The change to new style cylinders did not coincide with the introduction of the New Models in 1973. It was a separate change that first started showing up in 1974. Old style cylinders were used up thru 1976, sometimes a mix of old and new styles in the same gun.
