*Update #2 :D
4 5/8 and 5.5 XR3 FTs, 4 5/8 and 5.5 Bisley FTs, 4 5/8 Stainless TALO FT, a T prefix TALO FT, D prefix 4 5/8 Bisley FT, and a 7.5 inch Bisley FT. Still haven't snagged that D and matching Talo gun but I do have some consecutive serial number pairs and a pair of TALO 44s that match some D prefix guns somewhere...
Note custom grips on a few? These are shooters! No safe queens in this set! Got Sack Peterson elk stags coming for two more!

Always a good day when you come home from the local pusher (gun shop) with something you have been looking for. Nice score, what cal are they?

After seeing those pictures I was reminded that it's been a long time since I peeked under the sofa cushions. I got a quarter, a swiss army knife and a Corona cap.

Guess it wasn't long enough.

Try checking the sofas at all your friends houses too. Pick up aluminum cans on your way to and from their houses.. In no time at all you'll be able to spring for a FT 44. May take a while for the full "Set" :D

I've got some outdated photos in the original post... I'll get a couple of them updated in the next day or so... Perhaps put a little narrative between each pic with a little explanation...

More Stag? Don't you know it! Held some moose last month...
Just between us... 4 5/8 Bisley huh? Tell me... Was the "D" prefix whining about it or was it one of the consecutive serial number pair? :D

Now THAT is a fine batch of revolvers! By ANY standard!!

You and I have never met, but I KNOW one thing - you, Sir, have EXCELLENT taste!

Nice collection of .44 Specials....

I just ordered up my first Ruger .44 Spec. A Blued .44 Spec BH 5 1/2". Should be here next week. I am a .45 Colt guy, but felt this was a 'worthy' addition to my SA collection. It will make my NM 'flattop' collection complete (.357, .44 Spec, and .44Mag) ... Unless Ruger comes out with .45 Colt in the medium frame BH  . Hah.... You guys are a 'bad' influence :) ....

You know that we are all assuming that 'Bad' in this instance is really GOOD! :D
Just looking from a distance I see that your FT "set" has the same FT 41 weakness that mine has.... Got a plan to fix it?

Well, I have no interest in a .41 FT or .41 anything for that matter :) . That's just one caliber I have no interest in. No offence to the .41 fans out there either! I have the o' .429 that fills that niche for me.

No 41? PTL! One less 41 fruitcake in this virtual nest of Phorty One Phreaks is good for the rest of us... Don't forget to point us to any 41s that you happen to run up on.. :D

Ok, speaking of .41, I was looking at Rugers today at Three Bears Alaska here in town and they had a .41 BH on the shelf for $412..... There ya go :) . Ordered my .44Spec from there as well....

Well, I am on my way.... here is the pics of my first .44 Special BH. Price was $406 out the door. Test fired September 2010. Only has(had) one problem with it. The base pin spring loaded pin is to short. Exchanged with my .357 50th and works fine. The new pin now in the .357 appears to work ok. Will be ordering a new pin from belt mountain in not to distant future anyway.... Broke it down, cleaned, oiled, and it's now ready to shoot. Poor man's trigger job and trigger pull is just right! Ruger must have done something right here as I can't feel any creep (sure it's there, but no grating... if you know what I mean!) . Haven't measured the cylinder gap, but eye balling looks very good. Now to find out how it shoots this weekend! I hope! Will be getting grips in the near future too.

[edited] New Base Pin on way from Ruger. Free replacement.

Like the lawyer speak turned to the bottom of barrel too  ....

Got to shoot my .44Spec yesterday and today. After yesterday, I was worried that even with the rear sight all the way down, it was still shooting high. I had shot 40 5.2g Trail Boss loads, and 10 Skeeter loads.... Today I fired exclusively 50 of the Skeeter Load (7.5g Unique 240 SWC) and it is shooting dead on  :D . Wahoo.... Don't have to figure out a way to lower the POA!!! Yeess! Anyway just trying to say I think I have a keeper here. Next month I need to order up some more bullets and brass....

Oh, don't think I need to load the TB load for this revolver. The Skeeter load is very controllable and easy on the hands, even with the sandpaper grips. I like it!

That 4 5/8 Bisley is actually a member of one of my consecutive pairs... Yours might make the consecutive triple! :D
