I just bought my first Ruger. An LC9. I took it to the range this afternoon. First time ever fired. The second shot produced a failure to eject. I removed the magazine and cleared it. Long story short, I continued to get a FTE about every 6 or 7 rounds. This happened persistently for about 75 rounds. A FTE every 5 to 7 shots. I changed ammo and used brand name 9mm stuff like Remington. I did not clean the gun before using it but field stripped it and it seemed clean and free of debris, oil, etc. Before I have to send it back to Ruger, any ideas as to what is causing this? Anything I can do at home bearing in mind I'm not as experienced as you. Other than field stripping and cleaning, I don't have the knowledge base to get into the gun.
