Morning folks. Long time lurker that has learned a lot from you folks, thanks.

Plan to acquire a Rugged Obsidian 45 to use on my 45s an 9mms. Couple of questions on threaded barrels.

1. Who supplies a good threaded barrel for the SR1911 Govt? Not looking for match grade, just a decent one for range plinking.

2. Any source for threaded barrels for any of the P series? Have a complete set so any one would do but would prefer one for the P95 and P345.

Thanks

For the 1911 you may have more luck here:

As for P-gun parts that will be a long shot as they have been out of production a long time. Years ago I did find a couple things by watching ebay and gunbroker very close. The few things I did find were for the older P-gun designs though. I don't think there were very many after market parts for the 95 or 345.

For an inexpensive 1911 barrel, there are Swanson options on MidwayUSA and Sarco has some no-name option. A better option would be a semi-match drop-in with a fitted bushing. Your stock bushing might work fine, no way to know until you have parts in hand. High end 1911s have bushings that are fitted to the barrel OD.

Have you fitted a barrel to a 1911 before? There are multiple areas to consider fitment, might want to read up on it before jumping in.

I have a StormLake barrel that I'm using, it was a nice prefit but they are no longer in business.

No idea on P-series barrels. No sure if the camming geometry is the same, but I've used a longer barrel from a FS model in a compact for threading purposes before (CZ-75 series though).
