was watching something I had recorded and was fast forwarding through the commercials and glanced and saw this from some show called 'redrum' (murder spelled backwards)

What a horrible grip! Must be a woman. I've noticed that women handle guns the way men handle dirty diapers--and women handle dirty diapers the way men handle guns!

Not to pull this further off topic but it is much easier to teach a woman to shoot properly. Most guys come with an attitude and absolutely not a clue. They've read something on the internet or saw something on TV and they are the next coming of fill in the flippin' blank and can't hit a 8 1/2 X 11 piece of paper 8 out of 10 times at 50'.

Well obviously no one taught this woman how to grip a handgun.

Good gravy ain't that the truth. I'd swear every nut job at the range thinks their middle name is "Rambo" or "Wyatt".
My wife started shooting last summer and she is doing great.
She listens and tries her best and is turning into one heck of a shooter.
We are having a great time together.

Okay, what is wrong with the grip... looks exactly like the way I do it.
then again, maybe when I shoot I'm getting in touch with my feminine side.

The strong hand is too low and back slid. The weak hand has a thumb wrap, should be forward and along the slide.

Here is a guy with a good grip vid and the added bonus of a true zombie killer.

Absolutely correct. Here's a person who knows what he's doing!

Took the daughters mother in law out to shoot a few weeks ago and that's how she holds her gun. Showed her over and over again how to attain a proper grip but her muscle memory kept going back to the grip you see in the picture above. Had to keep repeating the proper grip and think she finally got it when I told her I just couldn't live with myself if I allowed her to tear a bunch of skin off of her left thumb or even broke it!

Also let her know that a proper grip is what we call "gun control".

Thanks guys... pretty simple... but kind of like the first 30 years of my shooting life...

"didn't have a clue"

Now, if it ever stops raining and I get some free time, I'll give it a try.
who would have thought I would learn something important by posting a lame TV picture of a P95
