New to this forum, after many years of revolvers, I want to give a try to a pistol.
There is one that for some reason there is no expert reviews of any kind, dealers don't carry but few people that owns them are very happy.
I'm talking about the Bersa Thunder UC 9mm. I'm waiting for next Saturday because a Gun Show is coming to town and I hoping I'll be able to handle one.
Any owner or ex owner of one ? I'm between the Berretta Storm compact, the Bersa and the SR9C, mainly because the manual safety, because I don't have experience I feel better having a safety.

Any info on the Bersa will be great!! Thanks

I believe you can delete the duplicate post by going to edit on it and advanced and there is a way to remove it.

Lot's of folks brag on the Bersas, I have not experience other than they look a lot like a Sig to me.

I would humbly suggest you rethink the safety on a semi-auto double / single action pistol. You've used revolvers for many years, how many of those had safetys?

I'd throw a compact CZ in there as well as the G26 if I were you.

Welcome to the forum!

Duplicate taken care of.

As for the subject at hand, I've read good reviews on the Bersa Thunder .380, but have no knowledge of their 9mm.

Now I own a Ruger SP101 .357 with a heavy trigger pull, and tried the Kahr MK9 and Walther PPS, their light trigger spook me

I use to have a Bersa .380 and it was a very nice gun but I have never fired one of their 9mm's.

The reason why I'm intersted on the Bersa, is because I was born in Buenos Aires Argentina and lived about 45 minutes from the Bersa Factory, and here in Jacksonville with many gun dealers nobody have them. They telling me that at soon they show up they are gone.If that is true....I don't know

Bersa's are great guns ... like the others I have experiece with the Thunder 380's, but none with the 9. They're primarily known for the Thunder 380 platform.

Well, if the 9mms live up to the reputation of the .380s, they're a heck of a deal, assuming you could find one. $360 NIB, 23oz, 13+1 capacity... Heck, now I want to see one. Thanks a lot! ;)

Unfortunately Davidson's is showing 0 in stock at the distributor level. There are a few on Gunbroker.

Often you'll find makers build guns in batches, and you won't see any in shops for a while, then the flood gates open.

Good luck in your search!

Looked at Bersa UC9 at Gander Mt. in Jackson Tn. this afternoon. The price was $399 as best as I can remember. The pistol had the stainless slide. It fit my hand perfectly. The Gander price was around fifty too high in my opinion. The first of December of last year I found a UC9 at a shop in Savannah Tn. for $335 had the black slide this could explain part of the price difference. Both Buds Gun Shop and Davidson's are out of stock on this item.

I have not shot the UC9 but all reports indicate it is a good buy, and a reliable weapon. It's at the top of my gonna buy list. If you get one please give us a report..........Buster Cat......
