I just purchased a new sr9c. When I load it and rack the slide, the round seems to get jammed on the feed ramp of the barrel. Is this something I should go fire and see if it smoothes out or have the problem looked into? I did strip the gun and cleaned her up.

Are you racking the slide slowly? Mine will do that if I don't rack it quickly and forcefully. Also, some hollowpoint or flatnose ammo will do it more than roundnose (FMJ, Critical Defense, etc.)

well, I did just rack it hard a few times and it went into battery. I mostly own glocks, so this gun is all new to me. I guess ive got to get used to it and after thinking it probably will be fine when fireing. I really do like this sr9c and hope to have a blast with it.

My thoughts too-
Pull the slide back, RELEASE it & let the spring do the work-

yeah, I racked it fast a few times with no problems, I hope it will fire my jhp without issue's, by the way is it ok to use +p ammo? Cant wait to hit the range in the next few days. Lastly, is there any issues with removeing the mag safety. I just prefer to have a gun able to fire with or without the mag in. thanks

I had problems with my c the first couple days but no problems since. I removed my mag disconnect, pretty easy as their is a tutorial in the stickies. Not sure if these guns can shoot +p.

good to hear, im going to run the piss out of it friday. I think I read in the book that +p and nato rounds have no long term effect on it. I watched the vids and plan on removeing the mag safety when I install the ghost rocket. I have the rockets in my glocks and they are just great. I believe the sr9c will be just as good.

You should be good to go dvrdwn72, the SR9c and SR9 can handle any SAMI spec'd ammo. Basically anything you can get off the shelf of a reputable store is fine.

The dual recoil springs on the SR9C are pretty stout and multiple posters are correct about racking the slide all the way back and letting it go. Also, make sure the magazine is loaded with the rounds fully seated to the rear and then tapping on it from different angles for settling. When inserting the magazine, make sure it is fully seated in the magazine well. Sometimes an extra upward push can make a difference until the pistol is broke in.
