How do you remove the grip cap on the back strap of the Max 9?
The owners manual doesn't mention the grip cap.
There is a round indentation/hole at the base of the back strap just above the grip cap, and I wonder whether inserting a punch might work. I probably need to be careful here since it's a plastic composite.I would assume it is the same like the lc9, but I have never done that in the Max 9. Pry it out with a flat screw driver. I may be wrong though. Have you tried youtube it?
The Max 9 owners manual identifies and illustrates part number 4 as a "grip cap." It is a small insert at the base of the back-strap. Looking at the Max 9 back-strap itself, it appears to be part of the molded handle/grip and not removable. You sure you have Max9?
You using the right terminology? To me, grip caps are usually on a rifle.
If you're trying to change back-straps there's a pin you push out I think.
It has just a little play at the base ( and I mean very little and in fact, may be normal) and I was thinking a new one might fit better/tighter. It's probably insignificant for all practical purposes. Why are you trying to remove it?
