new old ruger sr9

Ran across a pretty good deal today on a older ruger sr9 with the blacken slide. It has the round mag release instead of the D shaped. while looking at it i noticed that the mag release was sticky, but the gun itself was very cruddy, looked like the previous owner spilled his coke on it and just let it air dry. I got it all pretty much cleaned up today, but the mag release still sticks. I did some searching here and found some possible fixes on some other threads i'm gonna try. But i know if that doesn't work ruger will make it right.

all in all i'm pretty happy with the SR9, i'm sure the mag release issue will get worked out and all will be well....especially since i got this one on the cheap

I find mine pleasant to shoot, it is a pain keeping reloaded ammo on the shelf for it though, seems to get shot up pretty fast. One thing I need to do to mine is repaint the rear sight dots, they've turned a bit dark for some reason. I've tried cleaning them but no joy so I'll get around to going to Nitesiters soon.
