My local shop has a used blued 77-22, no sights in a boat paddle stock with green inserts. Asking price $425.
The metal is in good condition with some normal use marks on the stock. Now that they have been discontinued is this a good price or about the going price.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes. I have a 77/22 in wood It is very accurate. I have a 10/22 Target, with a better scope and the 77/22 will shoot tighter groups this is one I will keep! I like my 10/22's. But the bolt gun out shoots them

Uhh,, I'll go against the above posts & say it's a fair deal.
Currently,, Ruger has suspended the manufacturing of the 77/22's. Plus the "boat paddle" stocks have become somewhat collectable. Combine that with the fact these rifles are excellent shooters,, I'd call a "fair buy" on it.

This is the most interesting part of this post!

Ya never pay too much, just buy 'em too early! I'd like to say it's $50 too high but ..... really? ..... how many have you ever seen for sale?

I'd probably snag that. :D

If it is worth the price to you than that's what it's worth. Someone may not give ten cents while someone else would give a small fortune. All in the eye of the buyer.
