So, I sent off a 32 H&R mag to Dave Clement a while back. My plan was to end up with a mini sheriff's type pistol for camping. It is amazing. I know some of you will not like the hard chrome finish, but I wanted a finish both corrosion and abrasion resistant. The work he did is flawless, from the dovetailed front sight to the recoil shield scallops. It is a very cool little gun. Now I just need to have some wood grips made up by one of our craftsmen :)

looks nice! I like the finish and the grips. I was considering those grips but don't know how it would look on a blued pistol.

who cares if we like the finish. your the one carrying it. looks very buissness like. i have been thinking of getting a dovetail put on the front of my .44 vaqueros if i can find or make a front sight the same finish so it blends.

Very Nice!

I've been thinking about a dovetailed front sighrt as well - did he make the sight or ?

Thanks
Ward

Very nice. The hard chrome is awesome! I like it a lot with the white grips.

What is the big deal about dovetail front sites? Are they more "authentic" Are they better? Why did you want this feature?

Let us know how it shoots.

With a dovetailed front sight, a fixed-sight gun suddenly becomes adjustable. Shooting too high? Slide in a higher front. Too low? File it. Left or right? Give 'er a little whack one directon or the other.

That's a sweet liitle wheelgun.

Very well done, that is a single action I would love to have.

Make sure to give us an update with the new grips when it happens.

That looks really sweet. I like it a lot.

I have one off to Alan Harton for some special touches.... waiting.... waiting... :)

what pisgah said and you can tailor your sights to your load instead of the other way around. many single actions (say a .44) will be set to shoot a .44 240 at about 1000fps so if you like faster or slower or lighter of heavier you going to be shooting high or low.
so you get 3 different allen set sights and depending on your load depends on which sight you put in. just dont forget to mark the barrel to center the blade.

Took it to the range yesterday. Shoots right to point of aim. Like a lot of short barrelled pistols, the gun is accurate, it is my shooting that needs work :) Really feels good, especially in one handed shooting. Grips are slippery though, really looking to get either stag or wood.

Not sure how "barky" factory loads would be, I've never been able to find them to buy. Shooting 100gr hard cast flat points.

I just sent off my Montado to Clements Customs for some work including a dovetail front sight...looking forward to shooting it again..maybe this time it will shoot where I point it...

Wow! that is one of the nicest compact woodswalking customs i have ever seen. Outstanding! :D

How's the hard chrome hold up? Does it look bead-blasted or is that just the pictures?

Beautiful gun and the finish is both rugged and attractive.

The only thing I don't like about all Chrome or SS guns is the sight picture on sunny days. 8)

Allen207, What part of Maine are you in? Maybe I can "help" you shoot that thing and you can shoot some of mine!................Dick
