They left out the most important prep . . . LOCK & LOAD!

"Some gun shops near Ferguson have seen gun sales double or even triple in recent days, local radio reported. "

You have to wonder about those that arm up at this late stage. If they are somewhat new, will they know hope to use them? Not really surprised though. I have talked to middle to older guys who ask about buying this gun or that.

It can be their only or one of a few guns.

Or like my ex-wife, formerly in the National Guard full time. She has a snub nose .38, but should something like Ferguson happen, I could see her buying a AR-15 or shotgun. How many others are there in a similar situation?
gramps

Probably many Gramps, but I understand their situation. Hopefully the need will not materialize but if it does maybe there will be fewer victims.

They need to bring in some Korean merchants to put in charge of rooftop security. Some of my friends were deployed to LA during the Rodney King Riots. They said that the Korean merchants killed enough looters and Molotov chuckers that the cops would simply bring the meat wagon by periodically and haul them off; no yellow tape, chalk lines, or witness statements, just tag and bag.

I remember seeing some clips showing those shop owners standing their ground and wanted to cheer for them thinking of all the future problems they were solving as well as protecting their property.

With firearms deer season opening tomorrow, it's either a really GOOD time to riot or a REALLY BAD time to riot. On one hand, many of the armed white guys are going to be out of town BUT on the other hand, when all those guys come home cold, tired, and frustrated--well you figure out what happens.
The weather will be a limiting factor as I expect those rioters in flip flops and sweats are going to get cold before they reach the first Kum & Go.

Well from what I know about the situation I hope the officer isn't just indicted because it's expedient to do so. Unless they come out with more information, that would be just one more crime in that town. It's time for law abiding citizens to protect themselves and their stores. This has been out of hand far too long.

If the police officer gets indicted our country has gone down the c*apper.

So . . . if an indictment is returned will all the white folks riot/pillage/plunder??? Don't think so. Hope not.

We simply have to see what the grand jury does. If they find sufficient evidence to return a true bill, then there will be a trial. That's how it's supposed to work.

If they return "no bill" . . . well, I guess we'll see. A little preparation is likely justified, all things considered.

The grand jury is another stupid legal JOKE they will convict a boiled egg

The grand jury does not convict anybody. They merely decide if it appears there's enough evidence to proceed with a trial, where it becomes the responsibility of the District Attorney to prosecute the case. It's up to the DA to convince a trial jury to convict.

My heart aches for the people there. There will be a lot of good folks holed up in their homes and extremely scared for at least a couple of days. A few very ugly and scary hours await them. My hope is they are not vicious or foolish enough to pursue them inside their homes or on their property.
