I was wondering if anyone else has been getting a robo-call, from Micro-soft, telling them that their Micro-soft license has expired, our computer will cease to function unless you call 800-360-0998 to renew it. Of course, I don't have a Micro-soft license to start with and secondly there is NO WAY I'll call that number.

I've had a number of calls from "Microsoft" claiming I have a problem with my computer and they want access to my computer. I had a rash of them for a while, but haven't had one for a couple weeks at least. They always have an Asian accent and I can hear the boiler room action in the background.

You need to "press one" or what ever they say to talk with an agent.
When a person answers, you say "The job is done! Send the rest of
my money. God, there's blood everywhere!" and then hang up.

Right after the Micro-Soft call (Me: I don't have a computer. Him: ARE YOU SURE!) got another trying to sell me a medicare supplement. Me, of three score and sixteen years, says: I am only 25 years old and not eligible for medicare. Him: can I talk to your parents? Robo callers deserve everything we throw at them.

My wife and I have been getting Microsoft, credit card and other BS scams. All clone some number well today my wife got one showing it was her sister calling. When she answered it was credit card scam using a random cloned number.

Same here figured its a ploy to get my money! I shut em down quickly. ps

The Microsoft scam, the IRS scam, and another that was a couple years ago.... I've had all the calls.

The best response to a scam caller: "Your mother would be ashamed if she knew what you were up to. She tried to raise you to be a better person than so take money dishonestly from innocent strangers."

I've had a number of conversations with a dear friend in Calcutta,as in the Black Hole of, who is very concerned about the health of my OS and hardware. He is a wonderful talker, sounds like music.

When a live person calls to sell/get something from me I use my dog whistle.
I tell them I have something for them and ask, "are you ready"? When they say yes I blow that shrill very loud noise as long as I can. If they are still there when I finish I blow it again. Most are gone but some are laughing. Old people really know how to have fun.

I watch some videos on 'scamming the scammers'. Really funny, one of those fellows from the Indian branch of "Microsoft" got so mad he was screaming at the guy he was trying to scam. Seems like there's a bunch of guys to like to jack up these scammers. I had one going for awhile by telling him I had so much trouble with Windows 14 I was going to go with a Mac. Apparently He wasn't aware that Windows 8 had just come out.
