Marlin seemed to be a great guy I enjoyed talking with him and another member that my memory has failed me once again and forgot his handle on here.
Thanks Marlin for letting me talk your ear off

I and my wife enjoy meeting him and his wife for dinner when we can. Always fun and enjoyable times had by all. Before we had even met, he was giving me advice and pointers about moving to ID. He is a really nice gentleman.

Jeff, it was good meeting you yesterday. For a 100 table Gunshow it was fun. Looking forward to getting to know you better.

I appreciate the words from the rest of you. It’s truly humbling. I hope you are around to speak at my funeral. :) Hopefully there will be a Ruger show at the first of the year where we can get together with old friends and make new acquaintances.

I'll second the great comments about Bear Paw Jack. I had the pleasure of visiting with him several times at gun shows when he stilled lived here in Alaska. We talked a lot about hunting adventures here and of course we always talked Rugers.
I was the recipient of a couple of his "karmas" over the years - he is a most generous man.

We are fortunate. We can take long road trips, just for lunch. A couple times a year, a few of us meet in the middle for lunch and a show and tell. Heliman and I meet Bear Paw Jack and McKnight77 and always have a great visit. I agree, Marlin and Jim are top notch folks. There's a bunch of Ruger collectors in the Boise area and all over Idaho, and whenever we re-acquaint at the Boise Ruger Show, there's not enough hours (and not enough food) to share and listen to stories.

Further, I have met with many Ruger Forum folks, from the East Coast to the West Coast, and I will echo, our Ruger Forum brethren are the kind of people I would want as neighbors.

I also met Jim and he also is a first rate guy.
Marlin I will look forward to getting to know you and Jim better. If you don’t mind asking him if I can get his number from you or giving him mine?
Maybe one day soon we can meet up for lunch.
Jeff
