Memorial Shell

If you know me at all here I don't post threads often, just interesting fireworks occasionally. Memorial shells contain the ashes of departed loved ones. One of the country's best shell builders lost his wife and cat in the same year. They didn't have children so the cat was like their child.

There are two shells in the video. First is a nice crossette shell (a star which splits into four stars) and the second, a 9-timed spider shell which contained their ashes. If you've never seen a spider shell before, this is a great example.

That's a neat idea. My dad passed away a couple months ago and we got a memorial tree urn. You put the ashes in a biodegradable urn that holds a tree start. You can plant it and the ashes help to fertilize the tree. I picture dad looking down and laughing at the thought of him being the reason I have one more thing to have to mow around. He would've gotten a kick out of that.

My ashes are to be dumped on the salt lick I started on my property! Figured that all the deer I have eaten that I would give back some. Heck I may be a trophy on someone wall in the future!

When my best friend died in 2015, we put his cremains in a cannon and fired him over the same spot on his ranch where he had been married. Tragically, his son was killed a few months later. His ashes were mixed into 5.56 reloads and fired by an honor guard into the blue sky, over the ranch.

A friend of mine wanted his ashes spread at the ocean. When he died his wife flushed him down the toilet and said he'll get there eventually. :roll:

When I was a kid a neighbor's wife died he spread her ashes in her Rose garden and sold the house and moved to Florida. Guess were the new owners put the new septic system.

My point is choose your spot wisely.
