Charlie Kirk Memorial service

First off,, let's not let this thread drift to being political.

We watched much of the memorial service for Charlie yesterday afternoon/evening.

And yes,, many speakers spoke of his work as a believer in conservative values. But more importantly,, they all spoke of his Faith, his love of family, & how he tried to live a good life, AND share it with others.

80,000 people in the stadium, and another 20,000 across the street in another building.

Powerful.

I heard it said it was; "Like an old timey Revival" and similar comments. And it truly was in a manner.

Charlie believed in trying to get this Country back to it's roots of core beliefs in God, the Savior Jesus Christ, building a family, and honoring one another. And he lived it.

His wife had to truly struggle to get through her presentation. It was obvious that she was hurting. Charlie married well, and she's a strong lady. I found myself sending silent prayers for her continued strength.

Let's hope that Charlie's work will continue & maybe they can make a big difference in our Country. With Faith,, I believe it can happen.

Christ called his followers to be salt and light, slow and stop corruption and expose evil and show preople God"s way of living. He did both. My wife and I stopped by a little BBQ stand out side of Bellview Fl. After talking to the owner he talking about losing his 14 year old daughter to cancer. He said she yold him all because your years seemed to be short doesn't mean you haven't done all the work God had purposed you to do.

The times I have seen him when he was at the colleges/universities talking with the people, he never talked "down" to them, he asked them their opinions/thoughts and then asked them to prove their points. He then gave his interpretition of what they said and asked if he was correct and then gave the person the FACTS of why that person was incorrect in their thinking. Always a very good discourse on his part and he did readily admit when he might not have had all the facts that the other person gave him. It was a DIALOGUE on his part but some of the people tried to digress into an arguement and he wouldn't partake in that. It was "talk to me in a civilized tone of voice and I'll do the same". If the liberal got out of hand he would just quietly dismiss them from the conversation. And you know what, he was very rarely wrong in his thoughts and words.

I also heard that at the memorial, the stadium and the other building was packed OVER SRO, and there were estimated to be 200,000 + people outside the stadium. Not sure if they put up screens to show what was going on indoors, maybe find out in the news today (if the MSM even talkes about it).

I also heard him as the conservatives in the crowd not to heckle the libs, even though they were really off the wall.

My Wife and I watched the entire thing. Powerful is absolutely the correct way to describe it. You could feel the emotions when the presenters spoke. To put something of this scale together in such a short time truly shows the impact Charlie Kirk had.

I enjoyed watching his "debates" with folks. As a fairly well seasoned forensic/investigative interviewer I can tell you with certainty that man had a tremendous skill set. He would have been an excellent interviewer/interrogator.

I'm looking forward to see how Turning Point USA grows and develops with the energy he is still providing even after his passing.

I enjoyed watching his videos where he would challenge anyone to come up and prove him wrong. That is a challenge that very few people would be comfortable sharing, but he had the knowledge and skills to back it up. His goal was to make the younger crowd questions what they had been taught.
The crowds looked to be growing larger and bolder and it appeared that many people were changing their beliefs as a result. I am hopeful that his work continues to grow and that the younger generation makes a permanent change. I believe that Turning Point will need another strong, engaging personality to take it to the next level. We need people more like Charlie in this world!

It seems a bigger, bolder movement is happening. I pray that continues but I heard Ilhan Omar has already accused him of spreading hate etc. I hope her " movement" withers on the vine.

I believe Charlie Kirk lit a spark , and it is going to grow bigger than anyone could have imagined.
Millions of people around the world knew who he was , and gathered to watch the memorial.
He was a dangerous man , to those that are on the side of evil.

wproct,, I agree. None of us are perfect.

But I do believe that Charlie worked hard at trying to just educate people,, and allow them to see things differently. His challenges of proving him wrong,, allowing people to voice their opinions & such,, in a manner that was well respected,, was a gift.
Rare qualities in a person.
