While I didn't go tto each link to see what you bought, I have to ask; Why did you buy parts for a gun that will be great out of the box? Most folks can use a stock Ruger & get great results.
If you are getting stuff for serious competition or whatever, then it's understandable, sometimes. I tell folks my competition MKII has had a lot of ammo through it, and it performs quite well against a lot pricier guns. Me? I spend my money on ammo & practice a lot. Just my thoughts.

Yep, its a great gun out of the box that usually shoots better than most people can shoot. On the other hand, its a lot of fun to tinker with and build into a serious competition grade pistol. I have a dozen or so MK pistols and I enjoy them all.

I bought this Ruger about a month ago and shot 200 rounds through it..I'm very impressed with how well it shoots. I have found that if you follow the take down and reassemble instructions to the letter, it's not a problem at all. BTW, does anyone know of a rimfire shoot that may be coming up soon around the Pittsburgh, Pa. area?..Thanks!

I have to agree.... as in contrast to say the Ruger 10/22, I've pretty much left the inerds of my MKIII factory.

I cannot wait to hear another review of the VQ kit. It helps reinforce my desire to purchase one when I am done with schooling and back in the workforce! Right now, my 22/45 is stock but even at that, it is a good accurate pistol. If I do my job, it is quite accurate out of the box. Mine has seen over 2,000 rounds.

My Mark III has the newer VQ kit with the stainless trigger, not aluminum.

I already had the VQ Mark II hammer bushing in it to eliminate the mag safety, so I used the Mark II version accurizing kit. The Mark III kit has the inset on the hammer, for the mag safety to fit into! The hammer is the only difference between the II and III kits. A Mark III kit will still work with a mag safety-less Mark III, just the hammer inset no longer has a purpose.

No different than original Ruger parts to install, you do have to detail strip the gun. I did not use the VQ springs, I reused the originals, and still got a plenty light for me three pound trigger. The kit springs are stated to give a 2.25 lb trigger. When setting the trigger stops, you have to leave a little bit of play at each end, to get positive release and reset, because Ruger's design doesn't have the tightest tolearances.

One change often overlooked, but minor: On a factory Mark III, the safety won't move to "safe" unless the hammer is cocked. With my VQ kit, it will go "safe" no matter if hammer is cocked or not.

You will not need the spring loaded mag ejector. Without a mag safety, using any Mark II type hammer bushing, the mags will fall out freely.

The spring kit duplicates the trigger spring in the VQ kit, and the lighter mainspring would give very little noticable difference. It could cause more failures to fire from a lighter strike. The only positive is that it would be slightly easier to pull the bolt back for the first shot.

Some people swear by the Exact Edge extractor, but I think it's a bit pricey. My original three dollar extractor is pushing 3000 rounds, and still looks perfect.

I left it stock except grips and a cheap reflex sight purchased at a gun show.
Very accurate as is. Might get a better sight and use this one on my 10/22.

I Mark II'ed my Mark III. Installed a LCI filler and Sam's Bushing. For the trigger job, I just replaced the sear with a VQ. I had the entire kit, but it feels so good with just the sear that I sold the other parts.

That's a stainless upper cut and threaded back to 5", bead blasted and KG Kote'd. MI just started to allow suppressors, so I'm ready!
