The living corpse of San Francisco Ca USA
It rained in San Francisco last night, and today is brilliantly bright and clear. My much loved better half is at a birthday luncheon with her friends so sadly l am at loose ends...
Fortunately I knew exactly what to do for lunch- I hopped on the scooter and headed up the Great Highway, past the old Cliff House to one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. The ocean view from the Great Highway was gorgeous- you could see the Farallon Islands and Point Reyes to the north.

The restaurant is a little hole in the wall in the Richmond residential district, just like lots of others. It's family operated; I've been going there for years. The usual clientele was there; retired Chinese couples, doctors and such from the VA med center up the street and construction guys. I had twice cooked pork with rice. The veggies were perfect as was the spicy pork. The soup was complementary.

Stopped at the USS San Francisco Memorial on the way home, looked out over the Gate and said a short prayer for the sailors and Marines lost. The Memorial looks out toward Guadalcanal.

Why anybody would patronize a chain restaurant in San Francisco completely passes my understanding...
Anyhoo, nice ride, nice lunch!
Ah, the (temporarily) single life!

Any day riding is a day well spent! Glad it was a perfect day for you. I tried to explain to non-riders how the trips become much more memorable:
You smell the fresh hayfield and lumberyard long before you pass them, you can feel the rain coming a long way off, you know where the road Gods created a perfect patch of twistys made for two wheels, etc. If you haven't lived it, you can't understand it.

Couldn't have said it better!
