Lucas McCain Does It Again

Lucas was in a bar room demonstrating his prowess with his rifle. He is so good, he was able to shoot those points off the buck without damaging the wall behind it. How's that for shooting? :mrgreen: I'm lucky, he didn't hit the guy standing in back there with the camera either.

I always wondered HOW MANY people Lucas McCain Killed over the lifetime of the show.
He surre seemed to concentrate on NOT letting his brat have much to do with a firearm; I would think that at That AGE a kid in the old west on a Ranch would have been out shooting Rabbits and squirrels for the family cook pot.

He was too busy reloading for his old man to do any shooting himself.

I do remember the episode where Mark did get a new .22 rifle, and the plan was he was gonna go shoot the 8-point buck that he'd been watching.

Watched him after school every day back when....Didn't think he was bonafide, didn't shoot a Model 70 like my dad. How could he be "The Rifleman" and not shoot "The Rifleman's Rifle"?!? :?

If my math is right, there were 245 killings in the 168 episodes - an average of 1.46 per episode. It looks like Lucas was responsible for only about 1/2 of the mayhem.

I think Lucas killed 109 people with 2 gunfights being too close to call.

he couldnt be satisfied with a plain old winchester...no he had to tinker with it.
see? even in then guys were never satisfied.

lucas was mad at the world because he was a vet and his wife died and he couldnt cope. got stuck taking care of the kid and no woman wanted anything to do with him becuase he was violent.

hey! pretty modern if you ask me.

Yes, I remember that one.
 
As soon as my dad started taking me shooting with a 22 and 410 I realized that poker tables and swinging saloon doors would not stop a 44-40 or a 45 Colt.

Hey, they just don't make poker tables now like they did in the good ol' days.
