Hello, Long time Lurker, first Post. I Picked up a new P95 tonight, Took it home for the obligatory field strip and cleaning. Ive got it all apart and I'm cleaning/inspecting it, then I pick up the frame and the trigger just falls out. Well I get it back together but I can see how it came off. The Trigger has a bar with a hole in it that just slips over a small stud connected to another lever. Problem is, theirs really nothing holding it on :? After manipulating the trigger a little more it just popped off again. Anyone seen this issue before? Any help is appreciated.

Well I broke down another new p95, Apparently this is how it's designed. That's weird, never mind.

Typically the trigger bar spring applies enough pressure to "hold" the trigger in the frame fine.

Welcome to the posting group.

Love the P-guns!!

Yes, I see what your talking about. With the gun disassembled I was manipulating the hammer, which releases the pressure on the trigger bar spring. Then the trigger assembly will lift up and if tilting it just right it will slide right off the little stud on the trigger bar. The Lesson, when field stripping the pistol, unless you want the trigger out, don't mess with hammer. Great site

^^^^^ I don't think this is a "Problem". This is the process for removing the trigger. Notice: (this only applies to a P-95 thats been field stripped) the trigger return spring arm holds the trigger in place nice and tight, as it should. To release the tension/hold on the trigger, you have to pull the hammer down, which releases the spring tension and lifts the arm connected to the trigger. Then tilting it just right (or manipulating the parts by hand) you can disengage the trigger from the bar and it will drop out. If you leave the hammer alone (when field stripped) the trigger stays firmly in place. When fully assembled the trigger is held in place by the same spring tension, plus the cam lock assembly. The trigger cannot just fall out of the Gun unless you follow the steps listed above. Which I unwittingly did during my first inspection/cleaning.

Actually the slide stop pin holds the trigger in place in the frame. On the older Pguns with the metal frame the guide rod holds the trigger 100% of the time even when stripped because you don't remove it just pull it out to a rest position.

With that said I think us P95 guys know what you mean.

Keep posting about the P-guns, we got to keep them alive some how.
