Am starting to reload after having stopped in 1980. My "tackDriver" loads were 9.6 unique, 220 taylor lead or 10.2 unique same 220. I have tried the 185JHP in front of 9.6, 9.4 and 9.2 unique and none as accurate as the 220 taylor/9.6 unique. I still have some of this 1978-80 ammo and going to the range tomorrow to see if my eyes are still good enough

30 year old handloaded ammo, let us know how that works out. I don't load for the .45 colt but there are lots of bullets touted here and of course Unique is still around if you are so inclined. Some things will always work good. 8) 8)
