Load dissapointment

My 375 Ruger Alaskan loves 82gr of H4350, CCI large magnum primers and the Nosler 260gr partition. This load will give me less than an inch @ 100 all day long. Was digging thru my bullet stash and I found a box of 260 gr accubonds. Loaded up some with the same formula as the partitions ( double checked on the Hodgdon website and confirmed the load was safe). Fouled the barrel then shot four. Well my less than 1 inch group turned into a 3-4 inch pattern! Let the barrel cool thn shot 4 partitions' all went into a 3/4" group! Guess the accubonds will be gathering dust. Thinking about trying the Hornady GMX just for fun.....

Got 5 boxes on order plus got a couple more bottles of the H4350 yesterday bringing the total to 5. Those partitions really put the hammer on those alaskan bullwinklesauruses.

82gr of H4350!! A good supply of liniment for a bruised shoulder might be in order also.

Not as bad as you might think.....of course I use a magnum recoil shoulder pad but when I'm hunting, I don't feel a thing. the max load for the 260 gr H4350 is 83.5 still got some room to play but why fix what ain't broke!
