LED headlight ?

Found some instructions on the change and a picture that tells you a lot about the
difference in intensity. Right side is the LED.

I changed them on two Harley's and YES, absolutely worth every penny.

Last year I bought a 19 Silverado and WOW the lights on it are amazing too.

Please be sure if you do change them that they're adjusted properly. I've had some cars approach me in the night with that white light . I think their brights are on and flash them . Then they flash me back with these over the top brights. Even on low they're so bright it's blinding.

Add to that the new tail/stop lights they put on the back of ambulances.
I go out of my way to not get behind one at night.
NO need for lights that bright on the back!

I changed the whole truck around the led lights, does that count? We traded in our Ford with halogen for a RAM, with LED lights. They are worth every penny.

Some cars have the lights which swivel into the corners as you turn. Those are simply incredible. I had a 2013 VW Golf with those headlights. They are just amazing.

I can't see very well at night and don't like to drive after dark either. So any advantage I can get to help night driving is worth it. Like automatic high beams.

I installed these on my old Jeep....

About 2 days after getting the Jeep I switched the stock lights to
Sylvania Silver Star halogens which were better than the stockers
and used them for several years. Switched to the LEDs about two
years ago. I'd say if you do a lot of night driving at higher speeds
on more open roads the new lights might be worth it.
I'd suspect different headlight shapes and sizes would get
different results....I'd look for feed back about the specific vehicle
you were thinking about.
I also have some large HID spots on the Jeep.....great lights but
not too useful on the street. Their only downside is it takes about
30 seconds to hit full output.

I have done a lot of reading on the change but was asking anyone that had actually changed and how much difference was seen and was it worth the $$.
The picture shows how much difference there is. Is that worth the price?
That's . . . your . . . decision.

Depending on the car/LED combo you might need to add resistors too or the vehicle will tell you the light(s) are bunt out because it (they) aren't drawing enough voltage.

Yes I've installed them on my truck (the whole thing). Are they worth the extra money? IMO they are but with some caveats for me. The headlights do need to be adjusted not just because the can blind oncoming traffic (which they can) but because the beam may be aimed incorrectly for your vehicle. My LED lowbeams were aimed higher than they should have been.

I had switched all of the interior, turn signals, and other driving lights to LED's about a year before I switched the headlights. I love the brightness and clear light. All of my clear "bulbs" are 5000 - 6000k color. We'll see how long they last.

I don't like getting shot at so I'll just leave mine stock. I've had a few vehicles behind me with those things blaring that I'll admit to briefly having the urge to knock out and that includes the driver along with the lights.

Pictures can be altered. That is why I am asking individuals that have actually made the change to answer. I can only assume you do not fit that category.

Regarding the adjustments...
My Jeep is slightly lifted, this combined with a short wheelbase and
fairly loose shock valving leads to more body movement, causing
the light pattern to move up and down more than some vehicles.
I aim the beams lower than spec and aim my driver's side beam
more right of center. It gives up a bit of distance on low beam
but I also don't get oncoming traffic "flashing" me.
The center line of my headlights are 41 inches from the ground.
Lower lights maybe not as much of an issue.

I’m curious what the cost is? The OP wanted to know if they are worth the added cost.

I just drove over to the dentist right now and thought about this. I don’t know your driving style or anything. But I would say, any added safety features on cars would be worth it. New headlights might possibly prevent an accident at night, and then you definitely wouldn’t begrudge the extra cost.

Just thinking out loud here.

Just installed a set of Sylvania's Silver Star ZX2 halogen bulbs in my 2012 Hyundai Elantra. They're pricey, but lots cheaper than LEDs, and given my Elantra's going on nine years old with over 170K miles on the clock it's hard to justify the expense of a set of LEDs. Much improved nighttime vision with the halogens, both in front of the car and especially to the sides.
