5.0 grains of Trail Boss.

More loading to do this evening - more .44 Specials and maybe some .44 mags.
I also have about 400 rounds of .45 Colt brass to fill, and a couple hundred of .45 S&W, and about 500 .45 ACP.

Plus about a hundred .243 Winchester - but need to buy bullets for those. I'm thinking 100-grain Nosler Partitions.

A friend came by yesterday, and he used my set-up to load some .243. He used the 100 grn Nosler Partitions I believe. He and his son use that gun for deer hunting.
I was busy tinkering on a few projects myself.

I can hardly lift my right arm this morning. I've been loading 9mm since Sunday evening and the old shoulder is just not used that sort of movement. I'm close to 3K according to the empty primer boxes. Usually, if I get 200 between phone calls, I'm doing well. When the weather and wind moderates, I'll do some chronographing of .223 (got a new lot of powder) and then start cranking out some of that.
Over the last 3 weeks, we've scored enough powder and primers to satisfy expected needs for a while. I'd basically stopped reloading generic ammo(that's ammo suitable for any/every gun of that caliber that I/we own) last spring rather than exhaust all my supplies.

Well it `s been a while since I loaded for an auto & these new fangled taper/factory crimpers sure took alot of adjusting/trial/error before gettin the hang of loading cast boolits in a 380.

Spent 2 hrs got 6 ready to test fire for acc./function
Should be good spent some time with mops/patches on the BERSA barrel & got it fairly smoothed out !
Slugged at a hair under.355 pulled a boolit after FCD die , boolit was .3555

My Dillon shot craps AGAIN so I'm loading .223 generic soft point for a while. Depending on what else is going on, I can go through a pound of powder per day. Now I'm running out of ammo cans to store in. I should have hit the flea markets last summer and got more cans.

240-grain Bear Creek rnfp bullets, 5.0 grains of Trail Boss.

With 240g SWC, I found 6.5g of Trail Boss to be the sweet spot (874fps and in my guns). However I tested 4.5g, 5.2g, 5.5g, and 6.0g as well, and I found them all to be good loads.

Got an early start to reloading this afternoon. Finished 100 x.45 Colt, 50 x.45 Schofield, 50 x.44 Mag, and 50 x.44 Special. Plus I emptied the tumbler and reloaded it with .45 Colt cases. All this will be fed through Rugers, except for the .45 Schofield, which will be run through a Cimarron Firearms Richards-Mason 1860 Conversion pistol.

Built a 20" varment AR and loaded up some 75 grain 223s to give it a try. Also loaded .458 Win Mag for a 1H I bought a few months ago. Can't wait to get to the range and shoot at both ends of the spectrum.
